Rush South Beach
About Rush South Beach
Rush South Beach is the main village strand at Rush, a long sandy beach running south from the harbour with views across to Lambay Island. Backed by dunes and the market-garden coast, it is a popular, easy-going family beach for swimming, walking and watersports, with the harbour and sailing club at one end. The EPA classifies the water Good. It is an easy spot to reach from the village and makes a natural pair with Rush North on the estuary side. Check the tide and local signage before swimming, and keep an eye on children near the harbour mouth.
Nearby beaches
Rush North sits on the estuary side; Loughshinny is the next cove north.
