About Goirtín, Cloch na Rón (Roundstone)

Goirtín is Roundstone's own village beach, a sandy strand right beside Cloch na Rón with the Twelve Bens rising inland and the colourful village and its harbour close by. An easy, convenient EPA-rated Excellent beach without having to drive out to Dog's Bay or Gurteen, both a short way further along the Connemara coast, with Roundstone's shops, pubs and the Malachy Kearns bodhrán workshop on the doorstep.
