About Dollar Bay
Dollar Bay is a secluded golden cove on the western Hook shore, facing across Waterford Harbour and tucked in beside its larger twin, Booley Bay. Reached down a country lane off the Duncannon–Hook Head road with a small parking area and a short walk to the sand, it is a quiet, sheltered spot with calm, gently shelving water. Rock pools full of crabs make it a favourite for children, and shore anglers fish here for bass and flatfish. There is no lifeguard, so take normal care, but the calm bathing and westerly sunsets over the estuary make it a lovely hideaway away from the busier strands.
