Curracloe
About Curracloe
Curracloe is a magnificent Blue Flag beach north of Wexford town, an 11-kilometre sweep of golden sand and dunes famous as the filming location for Saving Private Ryan. Lifeguarded in summer, it is hugely popular for walking, swimming and beginner surfing, with a boardwalk and beach wheelchairs at the White Gap entrance. A tidal drift means swimming is best within the flags.
