Cross is a Green Coast beach near Louisburgh in south Mayo, a sandy strand on the Atlantic coast popular with surfers and walkers. There is no lifeguard, so swimming should be taken with care, but the reliable waves and wide sands make it a favourite for surf schools and a bracing walk. Part of the beautiful coast road between Louisburgh and Killadoon, with mountain and island views. Nearby, P Dan's pub in Killadoon is the surfers' hub, and BigStyle Atlantic Lodge runs coasteering and surf sessions along this stretch of coast.
