Carrowniskey is a Green Coast surf beach near Louisburgh in south Mayo, a long sandy strand exposed to the Atlantic and popular with surfers. Lifeguarded at peak times in summer, it has reliable waves and a surf school, with wide views over Clew Bay and the islands. Weever fish can be present, so footwear is advised in the shallows. A lively, scenic west Mayo beach.
