About Boatstrand

Boatstrand is a small, very safe beach beside the working pier at Boatstrand harbour on the Copper Coast road, with sheltered slipway swimming and pier fun for children. There is parking at the harbour and an elevated viewpoint above it looking out along the coast. It is best at high tide, and the Tankardstown mine ruins are only minutes to the west. A gentle, family-friendly harbour beach rather than a big open strand.

Nearby beaches

Boatstrand is one of the Copper Coast coves; Annestown is close by along the same coast road.
