About Annestown Beach

Annestown is a sand-and-stone cove on the Copper Coast road where the Anne River meets the sea, with very shallow water, a castellated limekiln, a sea arch and low-tide islands. There is a car park beside the beach and no lifeguard, so swim with care; it is a shallow swimmers' cove and a surf spot, with the Anne Valley walk from Dunhill Castle ending here. The village is famous for having no pub. Note that the cliffs are dangerous — there is no safe solo cliff walking here.

Nearby beaches

Annestown sits among the Copper Coast coves; Garrarus and Kilfarrassey are close by on the same road.
