About Ballintoy Harbour

Ballintoy Harbour is the small rocky beach beneath picture-perfect Ballintoy village on the Causeway Coast β€” a huddle of sea stacks, rock pools and a pretty stone harbour, reached by a famously steep, narrow road down from the village. This is exploring country rather than a swimming beach: rock-pooling at low tide, scrambling among the stacks, and spotting the spots where the Iron Islands' Lordsport was filmed for Game of Thrones. The Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge is minutes east and White Park Bay a mile west, making the harbour a natural stop on the Causeway Coastal Route. Harbour parking is limited and fills quickly in the Game of Thrones season.
