About Whiting Bay

Whiting Bay is a long Green Coast beach near Ardmore in west Waterford, a sweeping strand of sand and shingle backed by low cliffs and fields. There is no lifeguard, so swimming should be taken with care, but the long beach, the clear water and the quiet setting make it a lovely place for walking, swimming and surfing, with the heritage village of Ardmore close by. A new Green Coast beach for 2026.
