White Rock
About White Rock
White Rock is a small sandy gem below Vico Road, at the northern end of Killiney Bay between Dalkey and Killiney. Reached by a footbridge and steps down from the coast road — there is no car park at the spot, so the DART to Dalkey or Killiney is the easiest approach — it is a sheltered sun-trap loved by local swimmers, with the rocky Vico bathing place just around the headland. The EPA classifies the water Excellent, among the best in Dublin. The shore is rocky in places and the water deepens quickly, so mind your footing and swim within your depth. Killiney Hill rises above for one of the finest panoramas on the east coast.
Nearby beaches
The Vico bathing place is around the headland; Killiney strand runs south along the bay.
