About Tyrella

Tyrella is a Blue Flag beach on Dundrum Bay in County Down, a long sweep of golden sand backed by dunes with the Mourne Mountains rising dramatically across the bay. Lifeguarded in summer with a managed bathing zone and good facilities, it is a popular family beach where you can park behind the dunes. The Mournes-and-sea setting makes it one of Down's finest strands.
