About The Cove (Greystones)
The Cove is a small, naturally formed shingle inlet in the rock foreshore, tucked about 350 metres south of Greystones Harbour and Marina along an easy shore walk. Sheltered from the open sea, it holds calm, predictable water that has made it a favourite with cold-water and year-round swimmers, who tend to know it precisely for the qualities that keep it off the postcards. It is one of only two Irish bathing waters newly identified in 2024, and it went straight to Excellent in its first classified season — a strong debut for one of the county's newest beaches. Parking is shared with North Beach at the harbour, with the DART to Greystones the easier option in summer.
