About Templetown

Templetown (Shelling Hill) is a Blue Flag beach on the Cooley Peninsula in north Louth, a sandy strand on Carlingford Lough with views to the Mourne Mountains across the water. Lifeguarded in summer with safe swimming, it is a popular family and watersports beach, with the medieval town of Carlingford close by. A scenic spot where mountains meet the sea.
