About Stradbally Cove

Stradbally Cove is a river-fed sandy cove below the thatched postcard village of Stradbally, hugged by copper cliffs and oak woodland. A narrow road runs from the village to the cove at the bottom of the hill over the bridge, but parking at the cove is difficult — it is best to park in Stradbally village and walk down past the gardens. It is a family beach with the river alongside, in a Tidy Towns village that has one of the southeast's most photographed thatched cottages on the way in. This is Waterford's Stradbally Cove, distinct from Kerry's Stradbally Strand on Brandon Bay.
