Silverstrand Beach
About Silverstrand Beach
Silverstrand at Barna is a sheltered Blue Flag beach just west of Galway city, a sandy cove backed by a wooded park and popular with families. Lifeguarded in summer with safe, gently shelving water and good accessible facilities, it is a calm, convenient beach close to the city. The sheltered setting and clean water make it a favourite for a city-side swim on Galway Bay.
