Silver Strand Beach, Sherkin Island
About Silver Strand Beach, Sherkin Island
Silver Strand is a beautiful Green Coast beach on Sherkin Island, off Baltimore in West Cork, a sheltered crescent of pale sand reached by a short ferry and an island walk. There is no lifeguard, so swimming should be taken with care, but the clear, calm water and the island's peace make it idyllic. A perfect reward for the short hop across from Baltimore harbour.
