Salthill Beach
About Salthill Beach
Salthill is Galway's famous Blue Flag promenade beach, a sandy strand along the seafront of the city's much-loved resort suburb. Lifeguarded in summer, with the tradition of 'kicking the wall' at the end of the prom, it is a lively, family-friendly beach with cafés, amusements and Galway Bay sunsets. Swimming is best within the lifeguarded area on this busy city beach.
