About Sallymount Bay Beach

Sallymount is a sandy, dune-backed beach of about eight hundred metres just south of Brittas Bay. There is no car park and no easy access: reaching the beach involves a long walk over dune paths, and it is not suitable if you're carrying gear or have reduced mobility. Sallymount is a long-recognised naturist beach — visitors should be aware of this before arriving. It is publicly accessible rather than private, and is not an EPA-monitored bathing water, so no official water-quality rating is published; judge conditions on the day and take care underfoot on the dunes.
