About Portsalon

Portsalon (Ballymastocker) is a beach on the Fanad Peninsula, a long sweep of pale golden sand once voted among the most beautiful beaches in the world. Sheltered within Lough Swilly and lifeguarded in summer, it offers safe swimming and wonderful walking beneath the Knockalla hills. On a clear day the colours of the sand and water are extraordinary, making it a highlight of the Fanad coast.
