About Malahide Beach

Malahide Beach is the long sandy town strand beside Malahide marina — honestly, it is better for the stroll than the swim. A flat, easy coastal path runs from here towards Portmarnock's Velvet Strand, with views out to Ireland's Eye, and the village, castle and marina are all a few minutes away. It is not an EPA-monitored bathing water, so no official rating is shown, and the sheltered marina setting means the real swimming spots are the High and Low Rock next door. There is a car park beside the beach and it is an easy walk from Malahide DART. Pair a beach walk with Malahide Castle and its parkland for a full day out.

Nearby beaches

High and Low Rock are the local swimming spots; Portmarnock's Velvet Strand lies south.
