Magheroarty Beach
About Magheroarty Beach
Magheroarty is a long Green Coast beach near Gortahork in the Donegal Gaeltacht, with sweeping sand and views out to Tory Island, from where the ferry departs. A favourite for surfing, kitesurfing and long walks, it is exposed to the Atlantic and unsupervised, so swimmers should be mindful of currents and signage. The mountain backdrop of Muckish and the wide bay make it one of the area's most scenic strands.
