Magheramore Beach
About Magheramore Beach
Magheramore is a sheltered, dune-backed sandy cove on the coast between Brittas Bay and Wicklow Town, long valued as a quieter alternative to its busy neighbours. It sits below farmland off the R750, and its access has become uncertain: older sources describe a paid car park reached across private land, but 2026 sources report the overlooking property sold for development and can no longer confirm public access. Because of that, we show no directions pin and flag the access as unverified — see the note above. On the sand itself it is a lovely, low-key strand for a walk, but it is not an EPA-monitored bathing water, so no official water-quality rating is published; judge conditions on the day.
