Loughrea Lake
About Loughrea Lake
Loughrea Lake is a Blue Flag freshwater bathing area on the edge of the medieval town of Loughrea in east Galway. Lifeguarded in summer with calm, clean water and a lakeside amenity area, it is a safe and convenient swimming spot, with woodland walks and the town close by. A peaceful inland beach for a gentle dip away from the Atlantic coast.
