About Lady's Bay (Buncrana)

Lady's Bay is Buncrana's own town beach on Lough Swilly, a sandy strand right beside the town with the Shore Path linking it on to Lisfannon further along the shore. Its EPA classification is Sufficient — the minimum standard the water must meet each season to stay an approved bathing water, rather than the Good or Excellent rating of some neighbouring beaches, so it is worth checking beaches.ie before you swim, particularly after heavy rain. Being right in the town, it is an easy, convenient spot for a paddle or a walk along the front.
