Keem Beach, Achill Island
About Keem Beach, Achill Island
Keem Bay is one of Ireland's most beautiful beaches, a Blue Flag horseshoe of white sand cradled between green cliffs at the western tip of Achill Island. Reached by a spectacular cliff road, it has sheltered, clear water that is safe for swimming, with summer lifeguards. Once a centre of basking-shark fishing, it is now a stunning, sheltered cove for swimming, snorkelling and soaking up the view.
