About Helen's Bay

Helen's Bay is a sand-and-rock beach on the North Down coast of Belfast Lough, sharing the grounds of Crawfordsburn Country Park with its neighbour. A DAERA-identified bathing water rated Excellent, it is backed by woodland and the North Down Coastal Path, with the Victorian Grey Point Fort and its coastal battery a short walk away. The leafy commuter village of Helen's Bay sits just inland, and the beach is a relaxed, family-friendly spot popular with walkers and swimmers. Calm, sheltered water and a beautiful wooded setting make it one of the most pleasant easy-access beaches within reach of Belfast.
