Glen Beach
About Glen Beach
Glen Beach sits at the start of the Wicklow Head cliff walk, on the southern edge of Wicklow Town just past the golf club. There is a free car park at the trailhead — around sixty spaces with a map board, though it fills on fine weekends, and there are no toilets. The beach is a quiet cove backed by cliffs, with seals a common sight offshore, and it works best as the launch point for the cliff walk out to the Wicklow Head lighthouses, roughly a four-kilometre loop with fine sea views (a natural pairing with the routes on WalkWicklow.ie). It is not an EPA-monitored bathing water, so no official rating is shown — take local conditions into account before swimming.
