Fionntrá (Ventry)
About Fionntrá (Ventry)
Ventry, or Fionntrá, is a long, sheltered curve of sand on the Dingle Peninsula, wrapped around a calm bay beneath Mount Eagle and Croagh Marhin. A Blue Flag Gaeltacht beach, its shallow, gently shelving water is among the safest swimming on the peninsula, with summer lifeguards in season. The long strand is perfect for an easy walk, with the Slea Head Drive and the village's pubs close at hand. Sheltered conditions also make it popular for kayaking and paddleboarding.
