Fenit
About Fenit
Fenit is a compact, sheltered Blue Flag beach on the southern shore of Tralee Bay, beside the village harbour and marina. Backed by dunes and looking across to the Slieve Mish mountains, it has calm, gently shelving water that suits families and beginner swimmers, with summer lifeguards on duty. The harbour, the lifeboat station and Fenit's seafood restaurants are all within a short walk. A statue of St Brendan the Navigator, said to have set sail from here, stands nearby.
