About Fanore

Fanore is a beautiful Blue Flag beach on the Burren coast of north Clare, a sweep of golden sand backed by some of the finest dunes in the west, with the limestone hills of the Burren rising behind. Lifeguarded in summer, it is a favourite for surfing, swimming and dune walks, with reliable Atlantic waves drawing surfers of all levels. The mix of sand, machair and Burren landscape makes it one of Clare's most scenic strands.
