Elly Bay, Belmullet
About Elly Bay, Belmullet
Elly Bay is a long Blue Flag beach on the sheltered eastern shore of the Mullet Peninsula in north-west Mayo. Calm and shallow, with clean water and dunes behind, it is a popular spot for swimming and watersports, though it is not lifeguarded so take care in the water. The peninsula setting gives wide views over Blacksod Bay, and the long sandy strand offers plenty of room to walk.
