About Dunworley

Dunworley is a small, remote sandy beach on the Seven Heads peninsula, framed by dark rocks and sea caves that make it a favourite for supervised rock-pooling and exploring with children. The key thing to know before you go is the tide: the sand area shrinks substantially at high water, so check the tide times and aim for a falling or low tide to enjoy the beach at its best. Parking at the beach is limited, with roadside overflow at weekends. There is no lifeguard, so swimming should be taken with care on this exposed West Cork shore. Wild, scenic and a little off the beaten track, Dunworley rewards anyone who plans their visit around the water.
