Dooega Beach, Achill Island
About Dooega Beach, Achill Island
Dooega is a Blue Flag beach on the south coast of Achill Island, a sandy strand tucked into a sheltered bay beneath the slopes of Minaun. There is no lifeguard, so swimming should be taken with care, but its setting among the Achill hills is beautiful, and the bay picks up enough swell to attract surfers. A quieter Achill beach away from the busier Keel and Keem.
