Clogherhead
About Clogherhead
Clogherhead is a long Blue Flag beach on the Louth coast, a sweep of golden sand beneath a rocky headland with the working fishing harbour of Port Oriel nearby. Lifeguarded in summer with safe swimming, it is a popular family beach with a scenic looped cliff walk over the head. Fresh seafood at the pier — a stop on the Sea Louth seafood trail — and wide sandy space make it a fine day out.
