About Carnlough

Carnlough is a pretty harbour village on the Antrim Coast Road, set at the foot of Glencloy, one of the nine Glens of Antrim. Its limestone harbour and the little bridge carrying the old lime railway over the main street give it real character, and the beach beside the harbour is a DAERA-identified bathing water rated Excellent. The Londonderry Arms Hotel — once owned by Winston Churchill — anchors the village, and fans will recognise the harbour steps as the spot where Arya Stark drags herself from the canals of Braavos in Game of Thrones. A charming, sheltered stop on the coastal drive.
