About Cahore Point Beach

Cahore Point is a long Green Coast beach beside the pretty harbour village of Cahore on the north Wexford coast — the northern trailhead of an almost uninterrupted run of sand that stretches south towards the Raven Point, one of the longest unbroken stretches of beach in Europe. Behind the sand, the Cahore Polders and Dunes form a Special Area of Conservation, home to rare plants and wintering geese, so keep to the beach and paths. There is no lifeguard, so swim with care, but the long strand, a 2.4km cliff-walk loop from the pier and seasonal coffee from The Milk Van and Seabiscuit make it a lovely spot for walking and beachcombing, with the village pier and pubs close by.
