The Bathing Place at Portumna is a Blue Flag freshwater bathing area on the shore of Lough Derg in east Galway, beside the historic town and Portumna Forest Park. Lifeguarded in summer with calm, clean lake water, it is a safe, family-friendly spot for swimming away from the coast, with woodland walks, the castle and the marina close by.
