Banna Strand
About Banna Strand
Banna Strand is one of Kerry's great beaches β miles of broad, firm sand running north along Tralee Bay beneath a high line of dunes. A Blue Flag beach with summer lifeguards, it is famous both for its scale and as the 1916 landing place of Roger Casement. There is endless room to walk, and Atlantic rollers that suit surfers and bodyboarders. Currents can run strong, so swimming is best kept within the lifeguarded flags.
