Ballymoney North is a sheltered beach on the north Wexford coast, a compact sandy strand backed by a popular holiday village. Lifeguarded in summer, it offers safe swimming within the flagged area and a relaxed family atmosphere. Awarded for its clean environment and water quality, it is an easy-going seaside spot in the sunny south-east.
Ballymoney South Beach
At high tide Ballymoney splits into two beaches divided by a rocky outcrop, and the quieter South beach sits just beyond the rocks — a sandy stretch popular with walkers and families. There is no lifeguard on the South side, and parking can be very difficult on sunny summer days, so arrive early. As the tide falls the two beaches effectively join along the sand; take care around the rocky outcrop as the tide comes back in.
